Welcome
from the Headteacher
Dear Parents and Carers
As Headteacher of Hoole CE Primary School, I would like to welcome you to our website and to offer you an insight into our School Values, Ethos and Ambitions.
Hoole is a thriving community situated on the fringe of Chester City Centre. Our families lie at the heart of our school community, representing the vibrant and diverse mix of cultures which live here. We view our school community as a family which works in harmonious partnership to provide new and exciting opportunities for our children to become active learners.
We are proud to be a Church of England School with a vision for every child to ‘Let Your Light Shine’ as stated in Matthew 5:16 Sermon on the Mount. This translates into our children being nurtured as unique individuals with skills and talents which we seek to identify and promote through activities both within the school and beyond. Throughout the school we celebrate individual and collective success through our displays, celebration assemblies, Shine Corridor and newsletters. Our ambition is to make sure every child is equipped with the skills they need to succeed as they progress on to High School and the wider world.
We provide a diverse curriculum, which evolves from the National Curriculum Programmes of Study using pupils’ interests and our locality as starting points. We believe that learning is most productive when children know what they are aiming to achieve, when the basic skills of literacy and number are firmly embedded in daily practice and when they are given the opportunity to apply those skills through problem solving, independent research and teamwork challenges. We nurture our pupils to develop resilience and the tenacity to be successful in their goals and to grow into happy, healthy, ambitious individuals.
Our school grounds offer a wide range of opportunities for children to expand their learning beyond the classroom; we have an active Forest Schools program; educational and residential visits are an integral aspect of our curriculum and we are continually exploring opportunities offered through computing and digital media.
With strong family values we nurture our children to become proud of themselves and to uphold the best of British Values in their attitudes and behaviour. Through collective worship and daily activities we encourage children to develop spiritually and to be reflective learners.
Whilst our Christian Values of Family and Forgiveness lie at the heart of all we do, we pride ourselves as being inclusive and embrace all faiths and cultures.
Please take some time to explore our website.
